TREE PLANTING AND COMMUNITY DAY

Greenfriends UK will be taking part in a tree-planting effort at The Young People’s Forest at Mead in Derbyshire. This is organised by the Woodland Trust. As part of the #iwill campaign to promote youth social action we are creating a new Young People’s Forest planting over 250,000 trees. Children and young people will help shape the future of this amazing place, creating a forest for themselves and their community. LOCATION:

I am so happy that I made the decision to attend this auspicious Homa in person. Obstacles had arisen — doubts about Covid safety and an inertia that had developed from infrequent travelling. Finally accepting the invitation set into motion a magical interlude so different from the problems, challenges and stops and starts that were going on in the world, both in general and in my own mental world.... Ganapathy Homa - by an Amma volunteer

The Ganapati Homa was performed outdoors in tantric style, which is often the style used in South India. A marquee was assembled with chairs arranged in front for everyone to participate. With mudras and mantras chanted mentally and with focused attention by Yamunaji, the atmosphere felt pure and meditative. Bhajans played throughout. The silence and depth of feeling made the connection to our beloved Amma tangible.... To read more, click here.
